Hi guys, can someone tell me the best way to clean the rust out of the steering tube on a 1975 85HP Johnson?<br /> Thanks<br /> Joe

I use a ball hone on a drill. works well and cleans it right out.

Joeyd50,<br />I cleaned mine out with a gun cleaning kit. The 12 guage (Good Quality) wire brush is just the perfect size. Spray it good with WD-40 and push it through. Repeat.
