Someone help me out with this one please...

s/n ok232857

Supposed to be for an Alpha Gen II (96, I think) But I get Bravo from the search.

It's a 97 Bravo transom shield.

Thanks Don. Can you (or anyone) tell me if the only difference between the the Alphas and the Bravos (this particular year model of Bravo) is the Bell Housing? It looks like the part #'s for the housings are the same.
Another silly question. If the Bravo is external mounted water pump only, why does this drive (housing) have the water hose connected to the bell housing like the Alpha's?
Just curious.

Ayuh,... Even motor mounted raw water pumps need to get their water from somewhere....

Good point. I was assuming it came from a sea **** in the bilge, but I guess not. They would be wayyyy too easy.

The Alpha and Bravo gimbal housings do have different part numbers. Alpha 43881A16 and the Bravo is an A17

For one thing, the water pickup hose setup going through the gimbal housing is completely different between the two.
