Hello All;
What's the best way to keep the growth off of a stainless steel prop on an IO when the boat is sliped in salt water ?
I tried several coates of wax but that did'nt work out too well.
Any ideas ?
Thanks !

Re: S/S Prop

run it wide open

although my prop is out of the water I can't get any of the antifouling paint for metals to stick, no matter how I follow the directions, prime, dry, etc. So I get the hairies on the bottom of the outboard lower unit that sits in the water, and occasional barnacles. The hairies wash off when i run it; I scrape the barnacles every few months.

Tip the outdrive all the way up and cover with a heavy duty trash bag.(s)
You may have to have a couple of passengers get at the bow to help get the gear case out of the water
for bagging.There are custom covers available.
