OK safari users (that is for us macs) type in the word manual in a reply box, am I the only one who has a red line under it asking me to change it to "manuel"?
sigh... I don't want to know how many post I typed where I blindly changed manual to manuel, because my mac thought it was spelled wrong. A lot of people think I am an idiot right now.

Mine allows both manual and manuel without flagging it.

You should be able to have it "learn" the correct spelling.
In this case type "manual". Safari should underline it to indicate the misspelling. Right click on it and select the "learn" option.

It should now recognize the correct spelling.

Don't know if there are optional dictionaries available for download.

Re: safari users! help!

My old mini (now 4 sale) is OS X 10.4.6 with Safari Version 2.0.3 (417.9.2)

My new core duo mini is running the same.

Have only used firefox at a friends house, not enough to get to know it.
But I like Safari. It does what I need it to do.
