Re: Salt-Away Flush

Yes, I use it.
It seems to work.
I flush the engine first with fresh water for about 10-15 minutes, then run the salt away through and leave it in the engine until next time I go out. It seems to dissolve the salt. Since using it I have had flakes of dried salt block the pee tube. Just had to pull off the nozzle and clean the salt out.
The thermostats look better and last longer as well. I check the thermostats once a year and have been able re-use them now for three years. They still look new.

Re: Salt-Away Flush

Pitahui, according to their web site it seems to indicate that this stuff makes something like a foam. Did I understand that correct? Also, you mentioned that you had a few salt flakes break free that you had to clear out of the telltale. Did that happen just when you started using it or does that continue to happen? Thanks for the feedback. - Woodnaut
