Anybody care to comment on using Penzoil (or equivalent) full synthetic instead of yamalube? I heard less smoke, less fouling etc. Rodbolt?

cant advise anything other than yamaha 2M. due to the fact you have an O2 sensor. but I have heard of people useing it with good results. but I dont reccomend it. on that motor I reccomend the yamalube. however I hear that yam is coming out with a semi-synthetic soon.

I glad to hear Yam is coming out with a semi-synthetic oil. At the end of the season the price on the 100% synthetic was really low so I bought a bunch, (I am running it now and will be into the spring season) to see if it helps the never ending maintance I have to do on the O2 sensor. Most likely I will be going back to the Yam 2M however if I do see a diff. I will post it.<br />I run twin efi 250 that are pigs on gas and oil so it will not be long see if my O2 stay cleaner with the Syn?
