I have a chance to pick up a pair of 2001 - 200hp motors cheap.
They were submerged in saltwater for 2 hours and 'left to dry out' (probably months).
Is it possible to salvage these motors?
Do I have to do a total rebuild?
Anyone know a cost to rebuild?

Thanks
don

You are looking at more than a "rebuild", you will likely find all bearings shot, all electrical shot, crank and rod journals will be pitted and need replacement, etc, etc. Probably not worth the cost. I'd pay no more than the lowers are worth used, they are still good
