Now that I have found out what year my motor is;
1987 Merc 25hp, Canadian model.
Question is: are the parts the same for Australia, Canada, USA, or will I have to special order them? It doesn't make sense to have them different, but I could be wrong. Does anyone know, cause I have to purchase an impellor and thermostat right quick.
Thanks,
Bro Chris...

Re: Same parts?

Dunno whether that model has a TStat, but I have quoted USA part no's here is Aus and they line up.
So I reckon they're international.Although from my post reading.. I take it that Canada and USA don't get along that well.. :D So they may have seperate numbers just for spite :D :D
Have a look here.

http://www.dougrussell.com/partscatalog/collections/index.cfm?fuseaction=colle ctdetails&colid=01

Just line up your S/N with the US one and find the HP

I agree with Unicorn - I belive the only part numbers that are different are for the stick-on labels. Ours have French. :)
I've used part numbers found on American websites for ordering Mercury parts in Canada plenty of times.

Re: Same parts?

Thanks guys. I thought it would be all the same.
And actually, I looked where there might be a thermostat and didn't see one. I'll check the book tomorrow.
Thanks,
Bro Chris...
