Sooo, I went for 8 days holidayin and the motor I've been fighting, ever since I dropped it and wrecked the hole for the lower reed block locating pin, calfed again
Sooo the powerheads apart again. This time the pin just wacked out and broke a reed stop which went behind # 2 piston not before a few chunks went into #2 and #3 piston. I replaced #3 as there was obvious damage to it, but am wondering if there's only around 10 small dings on the top of piston #2, rings are fine, do I really need to replace it too? The block where the locating pin sits broke away so got that metal paste to set up then drill new locating pin hole. Surprised to find the cylinder walls fine
thought the block was garbage. Nice surprise. went like stink untill I killed it anyway. Took off all bearings and con rods, crank looks great
.Changing these things is tough without the right/ expensive tools/ so if I don't really have to I don't really want to.
Thanks
Russ
