My 7.5 Scott Atwater Golden Pennant outboard carburetor drain constantly leaks gas. The motor runs like a clock (one of the few) and I don't want to mess with the carburetor. Can I put a brass plug in the bottom of the bowl and eliminate the drain? If so, any idea on the plug size? Any other repair method? thanks

I've plugged them, but it was too long ago to remember the sizes. Remove the drain valve and tap threads in the hole and insert proper size screw with some sealer.
