A detergent bottle drifted in between my moored boat and the dock. A day worth of rubbing left a few bare spots on my hull. My boat is a dark blue gel coat and the large rub marks are a light blue. The shiny coat is gone and the scars don't feel as smooth and the rest of the hull. I tried a fiberglass restorer. I tried 3M fiberglass rubbing compound, and I tried 3M finishing material. Little to no improvement. All application and buffing was done by hand. Please say my boat isn't destined to have these scars forever!
