i want to convert my transom drain to a scupper.

i ordered a scupper at my local boat store(32 miles away) and it was the only one they showed in their book. it was the flap kind. ok heres the deal my wife picked it up for me while she was doing the school shopping for the kids.

its an above the water line only scupper. can anyone tell me what kind you use and which is preferred?

ive heard pros and cons about the flaps and the cup n ball.

:redface:i forgot the plug one trip and would like a more fool proof drain.

thanks for any help and/or advice!

Re: scuppers

You don't want to use a scupper for any permanently below water location. They are not designed for that.

Look around, I remember seeing a device that can mount in the drain plug of a boat that will allow water out at anytime without letting water in.
