SE106 on 1975 Mer sterndrive?

Got a gentleman who has a 1975 Mercruiser 140. He lost his sterndrive. He is interested in using my year old SE106 Alpha1. From what I understand it should work, he will only have to change the yoke to the short one off his old sterndrive, both are 17 spline. Mine is 9 3/8 his is 7 1/2 inch roughly. His drive serial number is 2426427. Anything that makes this undoable?

My understanding is the same as you... besides the yoke, the difference when they went to the Alpha 1 was shape of the skeg and something different with the cap on the top. You should be good

Thank you for the confirmation. Now to see what condition his yoke is in.
