SE116 Sterndrive

I thinking of purchasing a se116 complete sterndrive to replace my bad Mercrusier Alpha Gen 2. Does anyone have thoughts on the SEI sterndrives? Good experiences? Bad experiences?

Good as any and a better warranty than merc though labor is not included

One word of caution - the paint is really hard and is easy to chip. So when doing your install be really careful not to bang it on anything. Otherwise, it's an aftermarket copy of the Alpha one. Works fine.

Ayuh,..... Ditto,...... I'd buy one again over a new Merc, just because of the price difference,....
