Re: Sea King motor

VWB means a west bend made motor, from the 60's probably. could be a clinton, forget who made sea kings in that era. if someone doesn't pinpoint it in this forum try this site:
www.aomci.org
on the ask a member board.

Re: Sea King motor

Hi Doug
West Bend did build motors for Montgomery Ward to sell under the SeaKing brand. West Bend was bought out by the Chrysler corp, which was sold to US Marine/force,which inturn was sold to Mercury Marine. Ok, Your motor was built in 1966. Weather West Bend or Chrysler actualy built the motor I don't know. It really doesn't matter as far as parts are concerned. I don't know what the VWB stands for, they started using this designation with West Bend and continued using it up to the late 80's. At that point the motors would have been made by US Marine. If I were looking for parts I would start looking down the Chrysler trail.
