I got this motor with 2 cowlings, one is a 5hp cowling then the other is a 6hp cowling so I don't know what the horse power is for sure or what the year of the motor is. Were these decent motors? I haven't even done a compression check on this motor yet but it will be done soon.

Model number = VWB-19072
Serial = 1132

Thanks ahead of time for any help.

Thanks Steelespike. I don't think I went wrong by paying $5 for the motor do you? To bad I couldn't find them all day long for that price :D.

Re: Sea king Year?

I am not sure about your Seaking boat but mine is a 12 footer and it does not have a VIN or HIN because it is an undocumented vessel. This means that the Coast Guard has not certified the boat. I live in California and on these type of boats the CA DMV list the HIN as the CA vessel number with the year of manufacture in it for example mine is like CFZ####B##61P where the 61 is the year mine was manufactured. Yours might be something similar. I know on new boats I have seen the HIN number on a Coast Guard plate on the inside on the Port side i.e. left if your sitting in the boat just forward of the transom near the rear bench seat. I would say that if you do not have the Coast Guard plate then it is most likely an undocumentd vessel.
