Sea thru

I recently bought a fiberglass boat "as Is." When I took out the carpet on the floor I could see sunlight thru the hull. There is no sign of patch work from the outside. How can I fix this inexpensively or somehow strengthen it from the inside since I plan on recarpeting the boat.

how old is the boat and how long has it been this way? plastic boats are not opaque. if it has been like this since day one its not a problem.

The boat is very old. It is a aqua queen which no one seems to know anything about. I might try the bed liner stuff. Hurculiner. It should stick and it is waterproof.
