Hello everyone,
Is the sea water pump something you replace every season?? I noticed on the diagram that there is a impeller part #
862232A 2. Was wondering if after 5 seasons and 198 hours its time for it to be replaced? Also is it a hard DYI?

Re: Sea water pump

The Alpha I Gen II drives should get at least 3 to 5 years out of the impeller. We used to change customers impellers after 3 in salt water just as preventive maintenance.
The whole pump seldom fails.

Hello Don,
Thank you for your quick response to my question however I'm not sure we talk about the same thing. If you have a chance, check out this link.

Re: Sea water pump

Your serial number doesn't tell us what raw water pump your using, and impeller part numbers don't help unless you can remember all the different part numbers. I can't
Impellers for the pump shown in your picture above shouldn't be used more than 2 years. Anything over that is luck.
