My Bayliner is not running well and running after I shut it off. I have bought some Seafoam and would like to know the best way to run it through the system ie. fuel tank or put it in the crank case or through the carb. Thanks!!

Re: Seafoam Question

Follow the directions on the can. Put half of it through the carb and the other half into the gas tank.

Look in the Engine FAQ forum for details of decarbing an engine.

Re: Seafoam Question

Sea foam works really well in outboards.I dont think you will see any difference in an i/o.I would use it in both the fuel and oil and a decarb treatment.Charlie

Re: Seafoam Question

I added some to 95 explorers crankcase oil, the can said it woked in motor oil, it helped stopped the lifters clattering, just my 1 1/2 cents.

Re: Seafoam Question

SeaFoam is good stuff but it will not solve a "runability" problem that is mechanical or electrical in nature. If carbon or fuel system varnish and crud are the problem, chances are it will help.
