Ive been reading a bit about additives and i had a few questions. Im going to add sta-bil to my gas to keep it fresh for the spring but i have some boating to do this season yet. I want to use an additive to clean out the carbs. I been reading that a lot of you guys use Seafoam cause it cleans out the carb jets and what not. If im reading correctlly you spray this stuff in the throat of the carb whyle running? Is that right? It says that it will smoke a lot and to change out the plugs after you do it which is no biggie cause its time anyhow. Basically what im asking is what is the best additaves to use in combination with keeping my fuel fresh and cleaning the carbs and other engine compnents? It does not have to be an additave per say but i would like to know what you guys think i should do? My motor is running pretty good now but but i want to keep it that way. The only problem i have with the motor is that it idles high and i already know that it is my cable from the controlls is getting ready to give out on me. I have it rigged up with gorilla tape until i get the new cables installed. Thanks in advance.

Re: Seafoam

Since it is running good I would just add Sea Foam to the gas per instructions on the can. It is also a conditioner so you wouldn't need the Sta-bil. Deep Creep (made by Seafoam) is the stuff you spray in the carbs throat.
