seagull help

hello i just recently got and old seagull outboard given to me and i was wondering if anyone new the year size and what to mix the gas at thank you. here are the only nubers on the engine EFS<br /> 496EE9

It was made in May of 1979. EFS indicates it's a Model 40 Featherweight 1 or 2hp seagull. It has a Mark 3 ignition system and uses 90 weight gear oil. The ratio for post '78 seagulls is 24:1, which is a lot better than the earlier 10:1.<br /><br />Check out www.saving-old-seagulls.co.uk That's where I found all the above information.

My father-in-law picked one up at a garage sale. It started just fine but he didn't see any exhaust water. His question is where is the pee hole? Is it one of the holes on the vertical column similar to most outboards/Thanks in advance

would you consider selling it i own 5 and there the best motors out there(for what they are meant for)
