When running on low revs the engine stops after a while and can be a little difficult to start again.
What do you think about this, I guess, well-known problem?

running hot, weak water pump? misadjusted low speed jet? coil failing? have you checked compression and spark when it is hard to start?

No I haven't checked compression and spark when it is hard to start because by then I am out on the lake. It is not difficult to start generally, only when it has stopped by slow running. I am going to wrestle with the low speed jet again and see.

Probably due to too much or too little fuel at trolling speed. Start by setting the idle speed after the motor is warm and running on the boat.

May be plug fouling if it happens after extended trolling. Take the plugs out and see if they're wet. If so, you can widen the gap a little, to .035-.040" or go to a little hotter plug. How does it run at full throttle?
