I have found (yes, abandoned!)a Johnson Seahorse JH19A (made in Belgium). A first inspection give hope. The engine is moving, there are compression, the propeller is turning. It even looks quite good.It can be worse. I have decided to save it.
Where do I find a workshop or service manual?
I guess parts are available in US, (Wonder if they are available in Europe?)

Well kkj...you found a 1964, 3hp. Parts for the ignition system, water pump and carb kits are still available.

Do a search for Ken Cook Co., Marine.com, or I believe the OutboardWizard. You can get reprints of the original service manuals there.

Good luck with the project!

I see a few on ebay too, just use the search arguments:

(3, 3hp) (johnson, evinrude) manual

Evinrudes of this time are the same as Johnson's. A '65 manual will work fine too. ;)

Also, have a look here at Tom Travis' site:
3 hp tuneup

Those little 3hp engines are great runners. Be careful, there is a filter in the tank that tends to clog bad just above the brass nut above the fuel valve. Take out the brass nut to find it.

Bear! Good to see you back! :)
