I'm trying to replace the water pump but the two mannuals i have are very helpful! Can anybody help me?

I'm having problems knowing what parts I need, do I replace the whole assembly or just the impeler and seals. The motor is a 69 seaking made by mogumery wards.

Nobody can answer that without looking at the parts and evaluating the wear. I suppose you do know that is a Chrysler motor, right?

Its 99% sure that was built by Chrysler for Wards.Without a model number its impossible to know the year.2 different companies built the 6 Sea King and at least 2 and possibly 3 different models.Most motors you can change just the impeller but it depends on the wear of the housing.

center marine here in town said it isn't a chrylser motor and the punp housing does not have any wear inside it, the main promble I have is finding parts. can i get the model # off the title the metal tag is nearly impossible to read.

not a Chrysler eh? Can you post a picture so we at least know what we are dealing with? Does your state title outboards?

If its not a Chrysler it's a West Bend Which became Chrysler around 65/66
you may be able to identify by plugs.early Chrysler and West Bend use H10J plugs and MT91B Tillotson carb around 69 L4J plugs tillotson MD carb72 to 77 CO carb,78-84 L86 plug no info on carb.I don't think there are any other 6 hp Sea Kings.Sea King 6 69-77 were Chrysler.65 should be the first year for the 6 and is listed as a West Bend and last year for West Bend motors was 65 66 Would be Chrysler.Parts you might try the Chrysler Crew at Fair Winds Marina.
