What sealant does one use on the water fittings for the water fittings on the exhaust manifolds, and also for the water fittings on the Center Risers/Elbows?

Thanks,

Yep....I use the Permatex thread sealant...
No teflon tape..;)

OK, just so I'm clear... iBoats.com sells a Permatex #2 Sealant... but it doesn't say anything about aviation or threads...

http://www.iboats.com/Form_A_Gasket...6140096--**********.731605008--view_id.135126

Permatex makes a #3 Sealant that DOES say aviation and also mentions sealing hoses... http://www.permatex.com/products/Au...tex_Aviation_Form-A-Gasket_No_3_Sealant_a.htm

Will either work?

i get the Permatex #2 at the local Napa, but I've also used standard plumber's pipe dope without issue.

Permatex #2 is a seperate product from aviation sealant, which is a seperate product from thread sealant. Its kinda similar stuff, and will do the job just fine tho.
