Sealant question

I'm trying to locate a worthwhile replacement for a greyish goop that is used all over my boat. It's a rubbery sealant that is filling up voids and creating 'dams' near drains. I know it's some sort of silicone/sealant but I can't find anything like it at the big stores, the amounts laid out point to a very large tube.
Any ideas?

I think the best sealer to use when filling gaps is Boat Life's Boat Seal. It is a combo Polyurethane industrial Silicone sealer. It stays soft and is especially reccomended where parts move or filling large gaps. It is available in small tubes and caulk gun size cartridges. I think iboats has it, if they don't carry the cartridge size, call and they should be able to order it for you. They also make a Caulk, you should read about it on their website.

Don't use regular silicone, it will not hold up.

3M's 4200 is pure polyurethane sealer, and is not as good at filling gaps, nor does it stay as soft and rubbery. But it is a great sealer for tight mating surfaces.
