Good Morning Gentleman,

I'm trying to replace the starboard side trailer brake light. The directional does not flicker bright enough. This is the sealed capsule unit and I can't figure out how to remove it from the box bracket without possibly breaking it.

Does anyone know how to remove the capsule without breaking the lip that holds it to the bracket? I can't figure this out.

Ty, Dave

is it an oval light? If so, it just pushes out from the back.

When it comes to trailer lighting issues, it is almost always a ground fault that causes operation failures.

Bruce, yes I'm having a hard time figuring out how to remove the bracket where the capsule sits.

I think the problem is a ground wire. For some reason the light works when I connect it but the directional part fails once I hook the trailer up to the car. Weird I know.

Yep. like SS says, its a ground issue. If all the lights on the trailer are doing this, check the ground through your vehicle to trailer connector.

If you can post a picture of what you are working with, that would help a lot.
