I have two questions re: installing a floor in a new aluminum jon boat.
1. Type of floor? Solid plywood or a traditional plank floor similar to this: http://images.craigslist.org/00y0y_3lWV0VAgN7v_600x450.jpg
2. How best to seal which ever version is selected. Will WOG's sealing formula work for a floor and for how long? Or would you recommend fiber glass etc?

The OTR will work for your floor. Just lay down 3-4 coats of full strength Spar Polyurethane and it will wear well. Applying a fresh coat every year or two should keep her looking good. You need to use SPAR urethane for the UV Protection. Epoxy works well but it has NO UV protectants so you'd still need to coat it with the Spar urethane.

Thanks, WOG! I was hoping you would respond. Unless I get a SUPER deal on white cedar, I think I will go with plywood. Probably 1/2" since the ribs are really close on the model I am leaning towards. Looks like I have a Winter project.

You might want to consider using some Sheet Foam from Lowes or Home Depot to Lay down between the ribs. Great to keep the boat afloat and also will stiffen the floor and make the boat more quiet.
