Hi jobassing,<br /><br />My Mercury shop book suggest using permaseal 2c-12. I think that is a form-a-gasket 2 (it does not take much though).<br /><br />Im sure someone else here might know more this is a great place for information. I think loctite also makes a product. The main thing is that it must resist gas and oil. Thats what little I know.<br /><br />Tight lines and solid hooksets
