Sealing Inside of Hull?

Hey all,

Starting a restoration project on a 2005 Alumacraft Navigator 175.
I am going to tear out the old foam and replace it, among many other part of the project.

While I have access to the inside of the hull, would it be worth it, or a good idea to seal the inside of the hull? Thinking about using flex seal.

Anyone had any experience sealing the inside of their hull? Does it work?

Thanks!

And only the rivets and seams need to be sealed.

Coat-It has also been used.

Flex Seal is a poor choice

Do you mean sealing inside the hull or outside? My intention was inside... I am concerned with the potential for pressure pushing through the sealant inside, but also drag if I did it outside...

Do the Inside the hull, big basically flat expanses of hull don't need to be sealed, just rivets & seams.

Take a look around, nearly every topic.covers good aluminum boat means & methods for rehab
