Hoss, You will need to gain access to the sender unit. It is usually located on the rear 1/3 of the tank, in the center. It will have about 6 ss self taping screws arranged in a circle around the sender. I would remove the sendor and test it with an ohmmeter for proper function. If it is NG, replace with a universal unit, which is deep enough for your tank.
