Model: 488-58610 Serial: 230990, my research is pointing to Minn Kota as the manufacturer for Sears. Attempted to get prop from Sears but part discontinued and they didn’t give any replacement part information. However, extensive internet searching pointed to 2 Minn Kota props MKP-1 and MKP-5, both obsolete. Anyone have an idea where I could get a aftermarket replacement (shaft diameter: 1/4 inch, motor diameter: 2.5 inches)

Try Googling the Sears part number. You might get lucky.

Thanks GA_Boater, but I have already tried that, 203-1151 tried multiple google searches in different formats, eBay and Amazon. Nothing. But thanks for replying!

The prop
Thanks for the links dingbat, the prop link says the prop outside diameter is 3-1/4 inches but my motor diameter is 2-1/2 inches…will it still work?

I have no idea but props are always a larger diameter than the housing. Wouldn’t work otherwise

Help me out here dingbat, I’m missing something here, the motor housing outside diameter measures 2-1/2 inches, the diameter of hub from damaged prop is smaller (OD Measures about 2-7/16). Please correct me if I’m wrong but it sounds like you are saying that it would be reversed, that is, hub diameter of prop should be larger than diameter of motor housing, otherwise it wouldn’t work…thanks for your patience with someone who knows very little but is striving to know more!
