Just got a Sears Ted Williams 7.5 HP Model # 21758880, Serial # 202900. Mainly need to know fuel to oil mix and if it's air or water cooled. If anyone knows year manufactured or any known problems to look for, I would appreciate the info.

Thanks,
Hayes

Re: Sears Ted Williams 7.5 Horse

I had a ted williams 7.5 and it was air cooled. neat little motor that you could rotate 360 degrees for steering as it had no reverse. My little o/b lasted forever and finally was sold(still running) on my skiff that ended up with the name "no wake" . I usually mixed 50:1 on mine and then a good size splash for extra protection. I have seen on here where some of the very old motors needed 25:1, but I believe this was before the sears ted williams came out. Someone will chime in and confirm the ratio for you. Good luck !!! :D

I just scored a Ted williams sears today at the flea market. Needs a flywheel it looks like. Has onboard tank. It is aircooled. Very Interesting. I'm trying to figure out what to do with it??
Tim
