Re: Seasense Bearing Buddy

They're pretty much all the same with the exception of the stainless steel model from Bearing Buddy. (salt water applications) Nothing special about them.

Re: Seasense Bearing Buddy

Hopefully I'm not hijacking your thread here, but I think this may be a question along the same lines. I have a boatmate trailer that comes from the factory with UFP Bearing Buddies for protectors. I know they are 1.98". Problem for me is that without ordering online and paying a fortune in shipping, the UFP's aren't readily available here. Is there any consideration that should be taken into account when I replace the protectors or will any 1.98" protector do the job?

As was stated before it looks like they are all the same pretty much. The Seasense is triple chrome plated externally and has stainless steel internal parts. They are available at WalMart. Orginial Bearing Buddy is at most Auto Storesand Trailer shops.

Verify your hubs I.D., i.e. 1.980" and use double lip seals that are spring loaded for maximum protection.
