This seemed like the most logical spot to post this so....
Finally decided that from now on I was going to actually use the seat and not sit on cushions or my knee! I need to replace a seat post in our Stingray, I am thinking of going with an adjustable height. Fixed would be fine too but if I'm pulling it apart might as well go adjustable. I'm having difficulty finding info on this seemingly simple swap.
It has the ribbed post now, my questions are:
Can I or do I need to replace just the post keeping the base and mount? I've pulled on it and it all seems pretty well together.
If I need to replace the entire pedestal, are the mounting sizes standard? Or will I have to re-drill and mount with new holes? I am hoping I can get access to under the floor if needed.
Here is a pic for clarity
Thanks!
