I've seen SOooooooooooooo many people just pull the covers on their boat lately. I guess I am not alone.

This is why I cannot keep my boat dry, currently teh wind is howling about 40mph, but this explains why it's been so wet this year!

I just figured, it's a boat and meant to get wet.......when it dries out I'll cover it back up.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060110/ap_on_re_us/rainy_seattle

Yep, we're setting records for rain...

I'm about 75 miles north of you... unfortunately we've had the same weather with the exeption of a couple days. :(

Today is the 23rd consecutive day with rain here in Vancouver. WX man says at least 6 or 7 more storms lined up all the way to Japan, waiting their turn. Plus it's way warmer than usual. Better than cold I guess, but I'm getting tired of all the rain! First sunny weekend, I'm boating, dammit.

Im on the southern coast of Oregon, I have my boat tarped with supports down the middle and have it bungied at every tie down point in the plastic tarp, so far it has held up very well and has made it through about 60 mph winds. I needed to get something out of it the other day and its dry as a bone still. I replace the tarp every year. In the summer I tarp it also, to keep the leaves and pine needles out of it. I just dont strap it as tight.

Hey Strat, I heard brother Jake (rock 101) say Vancouver only needs 2 more days of rain to top the 1931 record for 'consecutive days of measureable precipitation'. Congratulations

We're at 26 straight days, the record is 33 straight days in 1953.

We may not break it though. With any luck I'll be p ulling my boat over to the house and putting mass fans on it so I can re-cover it and get it dried.

It's like a hot tub up in teh bow section.......drainplug is removed but I need to go check and make sure I didn't get a bunch of crap built up in there plugging it up......

It's been pretty wet up the coast here too (just south of Alaska) But we actually had a nice day today and Wednesday we got out fishing for winter springs. (no luck though!)
