Recently I replaced the original (?) fuel filter in this engine with a see thru aftermarket device mounted in a vertical position.
When priming with the squeeze bulb, the filter became full with fuel.
After starting and running at fast idle, additional fuel came into the filter showing signs of being aerated.
After running at !K RPM for a while, the filter became less than 3/4 full and new fuel could be seen streaming in in pulses as the needle valve in the carb opened and closed.
Is this normal? Should the filter always be full under all conditions.
