Just in case anyone cares..
I will not be around for a while. :(
Taking the boat and going on a bit of a trip to where the fish are biting and the sun is warm..
As the great man (Mr Bush) is visiting here at the moment.. I may ask him along.. Texan's are always welcome here..
Hope all the advice I got for free on here helps me if any problems arise.
Meanwhile.. Here is a "going away pic"
Re: See Ya's

Went to Caloundra,Southern Queensland Australia http://www.caloundratourism.com.au for 2 weeks with boat and missus (Deck hand). It is 2100 km
or 1300 miles from where I live. Weather is superb up there.. with every day around 26c.(79 deg).
Used the boat and old Merc a few times in water that ranged between 1ft and 15ft deep and ran aground a few times. But, the 50 HP Merc was great. Got it up over 5000 rpm and the speed was sitting at about 28 knots, which was more than enough for the Pumicestone Passage.Water pump gauge started to work at about 3000 rpm and was pushing about 7lbs at 5000. Got to be careful with the shallow water, although speed limit is 40knots, you can cause a wake that can affect smaller boats. No jetty's there, so we had to walk out into the water to launch and retreive. Fortunately, the water was warm and there are NO fees for launching or parking. The main fish targetted here are Flathead, Bream, Whiting, Trevally, Mangrove Jack and Tarwhine. We caught some nice Sand Flathead the first day (Delicious table fish) and some whiting the following day.
We had to increase the lines to 12lb from 8lb,after a nice Grunter Bream was brought to the boat only to break the line and escape. With the 12lb line, we caught a couple of Bream legal size and let 2 go.
Although, not essentially a "Fishing" trip, I did learn heaps about the boat and motor, and can appreciate more of what I read on iboats now. Reckon I'm just about hooked and boats, and looking forward to raiding Port Phillip Bay (Home) for some Snapper, which are moving into the bay from November, through summer. Did add a hydrofoil, but have not tested it. The boat seems to drag along at about 8knots at 3000, then starts to get up on the plane and really pick up speed. Hope the foil gets her up a little quicker.
Little trailer towed the 4000 kms no problem with those 10" wheels at 100-110 Kmh. Just made sure the bearings were in good knick and well greased.

Come'om mate spill the guts, what'd you catch?
Blackies?
Snapper?
Taylor?
With a rig set up like yours I reckon you'd get a feed anywhere you put in a line. If your gear is as good looking as the boat then you must have done OK.
Did you take the wee lady out?
Ross

"The wee Lady" out fished me...
No, we stayed in the passage where the main fish are Bream, Flatties and Whiting. It's alright for you Kiwi's, where a 12kg Snapper is a baby...
Give me a break... :D
