Hello everyone,

Last summer, I restored a 1970 Sea Ray SRV 180. You can view the project here if your interested. You will find "Before" and "After" folders:

http://airworthysound.com/SeaRay/

I have been trying to locate the original spec recommendations for the prop. This boat has the MerCruiser 120 hp, 4-cylinder engine.

Sea Ray doesn't keep records back that far. The boat shops I've called can't seem to help either. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Ayuh,.......

Just like Everybodyelse,......
Without the Known pitch of the present prop,+ the Baseline of what the RPMs at WOT is,.......

Nobody can give you Any Educated Ideas of where you should be headed.........

If you have No Baseline,.......
Throw a 19" prop on it,+ Get a baseline........

Btw,........ Welcome to the forums here at iboats.................:)

Look at the post titled "Prop Question for Bayliner Trophy". You will then see what's needed.

Thanks, I already know how to figure it out. What I am trying to find is the original factory spec.

Hi Capt. Todd,

Nice restoration job...How long did it take you?

If you scroll all the way down on the main thread page, you'll see threads by boat manufactures, post your thread on Sea Ray boats. I'm sure someone out there whose an original owner of the same exact boat, has the original specs on the boat you've restored beautifully.
