Why the heck don't boats come with checkvalves on the drain plugs? Forgetting the plug seems to be THE most common oops. I have two Sea-doo PWCs and a Regal bowrider. The 10k seadoos each have two drain plugs complete with check valves to prevent that oops. However the 40k regal does not...seems odd. Heck it's even available:

Anyone installed one of these? Only down side I can see is something clogging it up and partially open, which is less likely in the sea-doos

Check valves are too vulnerable and have too short a life to be OEMed.

I have used them on several boats and found them helpful.

Lawyers..something gets stuck in the check ball, ...boats sinks..who ya gonna call? Give me a soild plug and a memory anyday...
