Need a little help.
i am looking to buy a bayliner capri 1994,very very cheap.the engine is seized.mercruiser 3.4 l
This is the history i know, engine was over heating, leg was removed and after salt water found its way into the exhaust.hence seized last year.my question is can i rebuild the engine, parts and time not a problem or would it be a waste of time.when cheap i mean 500 us.

I'll assume you mean 4.3L V-6 :D

You can probably replace it with a truck engine.....similar year model......

You will need to replace the manifolds and risers since it appears that they might have caused the problem in the first place......I wouldn't put used exhaust manifolds/risers on any "new" engine.....

$500 is not all that cheap for a boat with no engine (unless they're paying you to take it!)

Cheers,
