have it in the machine shop. going to go 30 over in the middle and hone the outers and just re re ring. using all the same brgs look good. have read some thing about re locating the pee hole and an updated themostat spring but is this my problem. i don't really know 2 strokes , does the way i'm doing the o/haul make sense??

Once the machine shop measures the block it's likely you'll find the top & bottom hole out of round far enough that they need boring. If not, that's a win for you. Most times .020 will clean it up rather than going all the way to .030.

Anyway you'll need to find out what caused the issue or it'll likely happen again (another reason to only bore as far as necessary). Could be as simple as the wrong spark plugs. Could be running lean in the mid range at cruise rpms (common).

You should do all of the service bulletins about 4/5, the prop engine to turn close to 6000 rpms. SBs should be on forum. SBx cover block venting, timing, carb jets, waterpump, temp sensor. If I missed anything, DH will reply.
