The delux looks pretty cool to me, I think for a few bucks I would get that. I was looking for the buoyancy rating on them but I don't see it listed. If the delux had more buoyancy that would sell it for sure. I guess I would have a question about what would be safe to attach to a d-ring? You would want to make sure it would in no way affect the opertation or buoyancy of the device. However, wearing either one of these is the on-the-water version of not smoking.
I believe all the Auto inflatables are going to have the same minumum required 22.5 lbs+ of bouyancy.
The determining factor is the 24 grams of CO2 in the cartridges.
Most of the common Foam Filled Type III's have the minimum 15.5+ lbs.
So that is a 50% increase.
22 lbs. That is a lot of float! Even for my fat head!
