I would like to make my deck outside the cabin a self bailing deck. I would like to add some in deck storage and fishboxes. Is this possible ? and still have a "self bailing" deck for the most part? This moat has a real tall free board so I am not worried about waves as much as rain. I am also thinking about access for the fuel tank senders, vent line connections and feed/fill line connections. Thanks for any advise or opinions.

Is this possible ?

Ayuh,... To many variables to say for Sure....

Hatches in self-bailing decks are either very Tight fitting, or have a drained drip edge under the hatch....

I guess it would depend on the available drop...

My 240 Midships is practically all self-bailing. The floor lockers and the bow riding area all have drain lines that run out through hull fittings.

Not sure how one would water out of the cabin unless you had a curb or the door has a seal.

The area where my gas tank is located also is hatch covered and it has a drain channel that empties overboard.
