Sell boat or part out

Hello all,

Looking for some thoughts on weather I should try and sell my boat as is or part it out. I bought the boat for $3000 about 4 years ago. It is a 21ft Euroline bowrider w/ a 4.3L HO spitfire OMC. THe boat has developed a hull leak somewhere and has not ran real well the last couple times out so I said screw it and decided to go out and buy a new boat. Now I need to do something with the old boat. Here are the issues, The boat starts right up everytime and runs fine until you get to about 2500rpms. I think it is the spitfire ignition causing this issue but not totally sure. I know the engine and outdrive are good so I could maybe get $1500 for those plus the manifolds and stuff. Im guessing I would be lucky to get $2000 if I sold the boat as is with all the problems?? Just looking for some thoughts here.

put it on craigslist, identify the problem, indicate that it may be a parts boat, and see what you get.

Ok, I will list and see what happens. I would think since the exhaust manifolds are obsolete now that I should have no problem selling those. What do you guys think??

your outdrive wouldnt happen to be an alpha one gen 2 would it?

That's awesome... go from an old OMC to a brand new boat. Wow!

But i agree, CL that puppy... she'll find a new home. Just dont write a crazy ad... or it might end up back on iboats for a good laugh

CL all the way....... A $1000 loss in 4 years an't bad.....Id say you got your moneys worth..

As stingray said....Watch your wording in the ad.....
