Well sort of...I'm experimenting..
What I'm planning is to have the laptop on wireless then plug it into the Tv
So through the wireless router to the laptop
From the laptop wired to the tv
Hope the streaming is good quality
Anybody doing this with sucess or any tips..thanks
If it's not possible I will hard wire it all

I use Apple TV. You can stream anything from your computer to your TV wirelessly. You can also stream anything from your iPhone to your TV. Your way will work also but you have to have your laptop fairly close to the TV. With Apple TV you can have your laptop anywhere in the house.

Worked perfect....what a difference...a 47 inch computer screen
Had to tweek the video card settings for tv to run right
Plus audio went from 3.5 connector for headphones on lap to tv
Depending on your set up for connectors its easy just check and see
what you have before trying
Watched the hockey game last night much better than 21 inch computer screen
So my set up is an S video cable and a 3.5 adapter audio cable total cost for both 15 bones ...nice

Congrats, I was reading this yesterday and you gave me one of those hmm moments. I just may have to try this, never thought of it. I had a similar thought a couple of weeks ago however. I have a netflixs app on my android and was tired of watching on a 4 in. screen so I did some searching and found a micro hdmi to hdmi cable for $8 at bestbuy and voila streaming movies to my tv. Thanks for the idea.

Used to do this, but it ties up the computer.

picked up a Roku box for $50, remote and cables included.

It streams from your wireless router to your tv, and you can still use your computers at the same time.
