Sending unit wire

I recently replace my alum gas tank with plastic and am in process of hooking it up but my sending unit on new tank is on other end and wires won't reach so I need to extend them can any one tell me what type wire to use for and if they have to be rated for higher heat thank u for any help TJ

any gasoline/oil resistant wire is fine. most wire you buy is gasoline/oil resistant other than cheap house hold cords. auto parts place will sell small rolls of 16g and quality butt splices and ring terminals preferably 3M heat shrink type.
