Serial Number Help

Bought a Pontoon and it has a 115 Yamaha on it. Its got 2 tags on the transom mount.

The one on the left side (if at the back looking forward) is riveted on and says:

115 AETO
6E5 L 351792

On the right is s metallic sticker and just says:

115 ETLN


From what I have seen online the ETLN shows it as a 84, but the 6E5 shows 89-94. The boat is a 93, but I would bet it is repowered.

Any help would be great.

It would be an Enduro model with tilt, 20" motor, and a 1984. That was the first year we saw Yamaha's in the U.S.

Good news is that they didn't make changes to the motor until about 1993. That generation of motor was virtually bulletproof.
