i've looked everywhere on my motor and i can't locate any type of serial number, it's an older motor. i believe it to be late 70's to early 80's can anyone help me with this!! ps it's a mercury 500 50 hp four
bw,<br /><br />Normally they are located on the clamp bracket. If it is a Johnson or Evinrude, there usually is a serial number on one of the casting (freeze) plugs on the side of the engine.
