I had a new (used) powerhead put on my lower unit and am now wondering what year it is. Is there a serial number on the block somewhere. Thanks

Re: serial number

It is still a mercury and actually used my same cowling and everything. On the back of the motor it say's 200. I am just wondering the year. Where would I find a disk like the one you show in the picture. Thanks

Re: serial number

I did not want to start a new thread with the same name. I have 950 Merc with 2 stroke, 6 cylinder. I am having trouble finding parts for my motor. The serial number is 2113585, I have been trying to find out how to fix the lower end unit on this motor. Any help given is appreciated thanks in advance.

It would be better to start your own thread and maybe one of the mods will correct this.

Your s/n comes up as:

95 950 6-cyl 2097280 2318585 1967 USA

From here:

http://www.marinshopen.se/Motorer/O...cury2taktR66cyl80150hp/tabid/489/Default.aspx

It is a model:

1950107 MERCURY 1967 95

Parts listing:

Here is a condensed version of a service manual to assist you, give the link 20 seconds to load the page:
